EY and Databricks formalise and expand partnership in the Netherlands
Databricks, a global provider of data and AI platforms, has expanded its global partnership with EY through the formalisation of their collaboration in the Dutch market.
The alliance between Databricks and EY is active in over 35 countries worldwide, including the US, the UK, Germany, India and Australia.
In the Netherlands, the two companies have been collaborating on projects for several years, and building on this relationship, they have now upgraded their partnership. Under the formalised and expanded cooperation, EY will serve as a trusted and preferred advisory and implementation partner, and the two companies will work together on joint offerings and solutions.
US-headquartered Databricks provides a unified platform for data, analytics and AI, helping organisations manage and transform their enterprise data and use it as a foundation for analytics, artificial intelligence and business applications.
EY’s consulting business supports organisations with the implementation and adoption of the Databricks platform, as well as with the strategy, transformation and organisational work needed to turn data and AI capabilities into business value.
“By strengthening our collaboration with Databricks, we can combine leading data and AI technology with EY’s capabilities to help Dutch organisations turn data ambition into measurable business value,” said Simon van Ulden, Partner at EY.
The collaboration supports organisations using Databricks across the full journey, from strategy and architecture through to implementation, governance, adoption and day-to-day operations.
“Through this partnership, we can bring together Databricks’ capabilities with EY’s consulting and transformation expertise, as well as industry knowledge and ecosystem, to develop solutions that can be scaled across organisations and industries,” said Thierry van Herwijnen, Leader Emerging Alliances at EY.
Kevin Jonkergouw, Regional Vice President for the Benelux at Databricks, said the Netherlands is an important market for the company and that the strengthened partnership will expand the services available to clients. “Strengthening our partnership with EY allows us to combine Databricks technology with EY’s industry expertise, client relationships and transformation capabilities.”
According to EY’s own records, the firm has more than 1,000 professionals worldwide certified in Databricks technology. Earlier this year, the Big Four firm won several Databricks awards at the global level, including Financial Services Partner of the Year and Customer Impact Partner of the Year.
