BrazilRoman Aschwanden and Zoë Sheehan join Alpha FMC
Alpha FMC has brought two experienced asset management experts on board in Switzerland.
The addition of Roman Aschwanden (appointed a Principal) and Zoë Sheehan (Senior Manager) brings the total number of consultants based in its Zurich office to just under 20, and continues Alpha FMC’s rapid growth in the city – the locale was launched just six months ago. With an office in Geneva (launched in 2017), the consulting firm already had an established footprint in Switzerland.
Aschwanden brings more than 25 years of experience in asset management and investment banking to the stock-listed firm. He joins from GAM Investment Management, a Swiss fund management company, where he served as CEO and COO of the firm’s Continental Europe operations. Prior to these roles, he acted as head of portfolio management for private clients at GAM. Earlier in his career, Aschwanden held various roles in investment banking within UBS in Switzerland and Japan.
At Alpha FMC, Aschwanden focuses on regulatory offerings such as BMR, Libor and MIFID II, responsible for investing, reporting, and internally, he oversees the firm’s consulting services for pension funds.
Sheehan has been working in asset management and investment banking for over a decade, developing risk & performance solutions, portfolio management solutions and trading platforms for investment managers. She joins from BlackRock in London, where she worked in business development. Sheehan previously worked for IHS Markit selling their specialised derivatives and risk analytics platform across Europe, and for First Derivatives, a boutique capital markets consulting firm, in North America.
At Alpha FMC, Sheehan will leverage her expertise in risk management, trading, portfolio management and solutions to help bolster its offerings to Swiss clients.
