French innovation consultancy Sinnogen joins Kepler
Sinnogen, a boutique Paris-based consultancy, has joined forces with larger French counterpart Kepler.
“This move represents a great opportunity of value creation,” said Julien Besse and Sebastien Grilli, who co-founded Sinnogen in 2010, having previously worked together for over six years. The duo met during their joint spell at OSE Consulting, and after briefly serving supply chain consultancy SAYpartners (now part of Weave), they embarked on their entrepreneurial adventure.
Over the past years, Besse and Grilli have established Sinnogen as a specialist player focused on innovation management and R&D performance. The firm’s portfolio of services includes helping clients develop R&D strategies and market entry approaches, enabling open innovation models, transformation of the R&D function, innovation excellence, and project delivery. Clients that feature on Sinnogen’s roster include the likes of AirLiquide, Clarins, Danone, L’Oréal, Michelin, Solvay, Thales and Yves Rocher.By joining Kepler, which has around 65 consultants across offices in France (Paris; headquarter), the US (Chicago), India (Chennai) and China (Shanghai), Sinnogen will be able to deepen and broaden its offering to clients. “We see multiple synergies in innovation expertise, such as the development of propositions around the digital challenge,” said Besse.
Grilli added that the firm will now also be able to enhance its services with new areas of expertise. Kepler’s service portfolio is significantly broader – the consulting firm also delivers engagements in procurement, supply chain and operational efficiency. Its client base revolves around the industrial sector, with most accounts active in the automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, energy, life sciences, luxury and transports segments.
Sinnogen and its near 10-strong team – other seniors include Mathieu Pailler, Audrey Berthomieu and Pierre Bougeard – will be integrated into Kepler's Innovation practice, with Besse and Grilli appointed partners at the firm.
“We are very excited to welcome Sinnogen’s team,” remarked Lionel Muller, president and co-founder of Kepler, “as it bolsters our innovation and research & development efficiency expertise.” Beyond the added competencies, the two consultancies “share strong common values around the importance of sustainable customer relations and our consultants’ development.”
