Corporate Value Associates launches new office in Belgium

Corporate Value Associates has launched an office in Belgium, its sixth office in Europe and sixteenth globally.

The global strategy and management consulting firm, founded in 1987 in France, has opened an office in Brussels, Belgium’s capital and the heart of European politics.

Corporate Value Associates is to some extent already a familiar brand in the Belgian consulting market. The boutique consultancy, which has a team of around 300 partners and consultants worldwide, has been serving clients in the country for years, mainly through fly-in teams from its London, Paris and Amsterdam offices, among others. 

According to Fernand Dimidschstein, who has been appointed to lead Corporate Value Associates in Belgium, the consulting firm has started working on four projects since formally launching in March this year. “We are delighted with the confidence clients have placed in our team,” he said.

Dimidschstein joined from Strategy&, where he was leader of Strategy&’s Belgium practice. He held the role for three years, and previously was a Managing Director at Accenture Strategy, focused on the financial services industry. During his seventeen year tenure at Accenture, Dimidschstein worked across the firm’s offices in Belgium, France and South Africa. 

Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking (The Bank of New York and at JP Morgan) and for accounting and consulting firm Arthur Andersen, where he started his career. 

A flying start

Despite the current Covid-19 conditions, Corporate Value Associates in Belgium has enjoyed a flying start with a team of around ten consultants, of which the majority have joined Dimidschstein from Strategy&. These include Philip Platteau, Maarten Moeyaert, Stéphanie De Man, Erik Saey, Anne-Sophie Van Damme and Jonas Uyttendaele. Meanwhile, Olivia De Jonghe has been recruited from Accenture. 

The local unit will initially focus on clients in the financial services and retail sectors. Globally, Corporate Value Associates works across a number of industry verticals including financial services, energy & utilities, automotive & transportation, mining, metals and materials, telecoms and the public sector, as well as crossover areas such as new mobility, mergers & acquisitions and digital innovation.

Earlier this month Corporate Value Associates was named one of the leading strategy consulting firms in both Australia and the Middle East by Consultancy.org, a global platform for the consulting industry.
