Bain partner Aleksander Lyngvi relocates from Oslo to Amsterdam
Aleksander Lyngvi, a partner at Bain & Company in Norway, has relocated to the Netherlands, where he has joined the firm’s Amsterdam office.
The 45-year-old has been with the global strategy and management consulting firm since 2008, having previously served the European Space Agency for roughly five years as a spacecraft system engineer.
At Bain & Company, Lyngvi is a partner in the firm’s Oil & Gas and practice, focusing on the oil & gas exploration, production, and equipment and services segments. He specialises in strategy, organisation, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, performance improvement and digital transformation. He also has gained extensive experience in divestitures and carve-outs, procurement, operating model and agile ways of working.
Lyngvi is also a member of Bain’s Customer Strategy & Marketing practice. His experience in this domain includes sales and channel excellence, strategy & marketing strategy, pricing and salesforce optimisation.
In Amsterdam, Lyngvi – formerly a professional sailor having served the Norwegian national team for eight years – has become a member of the Energy and Natural Resources practice.
Welcoming him to the Dutch office, Véronique Pauwels, Managing Partner of Bain’s Amsterdam office, said: “We are delighted that Aleksander has chosen to develop his career within our office. He has already greatly contributed to the growth of our organisation in The Nordics and we are excited to be able to bring his expertise to the clients in the Benelux.”
In the Nordics, Bain & Company has over 500 partners, consultants and staff, following the landmark acquisition of Qvartz in December 2019. In the Netherlands, the strategy consulting firm has a team of over 100 consultants and staff, including over fifteen partners.
