Bogdan Yarmolenko new country leader of EY in Ukraine
EY has selected the boss of its Strategy and Transactions division – Bogdan Yarmolenko – as the next Country Managing Partner for Ukraine.
Appointed to his new role effective 1 July 2021, Bogdan Yarmolenko will lead a team of over 500 professionals operating from offices in capital city Kiev and Lviv (Ukraine’s seventh-largest city).
Back in 1991, EY was the first of the Big Four professional services firms to enter the country. The accounting and consulting firm has since maintained its head start, now serving over 1,000 clients across Ukraine on topics including audit, financial advisory, strategy, consulting, tax and technology.
Over the past fifteen years, the Ukrainian organisations was led by Alexei Kredisov, who now will pass the baton to his fellow company member. Yarmolenko joined EY as a trainee in 1999, was promoted to Partner in 2008, and has been leading the Transaction Advisory business since 2014.
More recently, he took the reins of the newly formed Strategy and Transactions division, which houses EY’s corporate finance and merger & acquisition specialists, and its strategy wing EY-Parthenon, among others.
Yarmolenko specialises in valuations, strategy, innovation and deals, working with C-suite executives of large national monopolies, international financial institutions as well as with the government of Ukraine.
In his new position, Yarmolenko (a PhD holder) will lead all aspects of EY’s business in Ukraine, been tasked with expanding the firms’ footprint while ensuring that the firm “helps its clients and stakeholder build a better working world.” At EY, he said, “we help businesses, wider society and our people to successfully navigate a changing landscape and achieve their goals.”
