EFESO Consulting grows presence in Austria with Czipin deal
EFESO Consulting has strengthened its presence in Austria with the acquisition of Czipin, a 20-strong Vienna-based operations consulting firm.
“This enables us to increase our leadership position in Austria, and offer our local clients with wider services and a worldwide platform to support their global transformations,” said Luca Lecchi and Bruno Machiels, the co-CEOs of EFESO Consulting.
The global management consultancy, which was established in 1980 as Solving Efeso and adopted its current brand in 2015, specialises in operations strategy, performance excellence and transformation, operating across 35 offices globally.
The firm has been active in the Austrian market since the summer of 2019 following the bolt-on of ROI Management Consulting. The now rebranded ROI-EFESO is headquartered in Germany, and also has offices in DACH counterparts Austria and Switzerland.
Czipin is an award-winning firm specialised in productivity improvement, with a focus on clients in the manufacturing space. “Czipin and ROI-EFESO have complementary perspectives on the challenges that companies face in the manufacturing industry,” said Hans Georg Scheibe, Managing Partner at ROI-EFESO.
Another sector where the two consultancies expect strong synergies is automotive. “Extensive strategic and operational transformation programs are currently taking place in automotive. By bundling our competencies, we will be able to provide an even stronger offering, and we are already looking forward to joint projects with Czipin colleagues,” said Michael Jung, also a Managing Partner at ROI-EFESO.
For Alois Czipin, the founder of Czipin, the deal marks the second time he has sold a consultancy he built from scratch. The first company he founded, Czipin & Partner, had grown to a team of 100 consultants with operations in several countries, and was acquired by Proudfoot in 2001 for €17.4 million. Financial terms of the deal with EFESO Consulting have not been disclosed.
Appointed Managing Director of Austria, Czipin will stay in charge and lead the team. “My important task is to further develop the value that we will create for our clients of the group together with ROI-EFESO in the future.”
