Creative consultancy frog hits milestone under Capgemini Invent’s wings

Design and creative consultancy frog is on a rapid growth track since the firm formally joined Capgemini Invent, scaling its headcount to over 2,000 professionals worldwide.

San Francisco-headquartered frog has been part of Capgemini since June 2019, when the firm crossed to the French group as part of the mega €3.6 billion acquisition of Altran (still Capgemini’s largest ever). Altran meanwhile welcomed frog to its ranks two years previous.

In the summer of this year, frog (together with another Altran subsidiary, Cambridge Consultants) became part of Capgemini Invent, the group’s management consulting wing. This has seen frog join forces with other likeminded creative subsidiaries; Fahrenheit 212, IdeanJune21 – all of which joined Capgemini between 2016 and 2019 and since a few weeks operate under the frog brand.

The firm now has over 2,000 creative strategists, data scientists, consultants and technologists working from 35 design and innovation studios globally. “frog is now home to an expanded community of people who are all driven to improve the status quo, to craft and build transformative human experiences that win hearts and move markets,” stated Andy Zimmerman, Managing Director of Capgemini Invent in North America & President of frog.

Leveraging the strategy and business capabilities of Capgemini Invent, the design and creative consultancy can bring even more value to its clients, said Zimmerman, who has been with frog for close to a decade.

“Bringing together frog’s culture, where ideas and solutions thrive, with Capgemini Invent’s capacity to deliver innovation and transformation services at scale, is an exciting development for frog. It will help our clients make their mark as they build new businesses, create new products or challenge the status quo.”

Founded in 1969 by industrial design legend Hartmut Esslinger, frog is an award-winning consultancy that has contributed to some of the most iconic innovations, product launches and experiences in history, having worked with brands such as Apple, Audi, British Telecom, General Electric, Pfizer and Unicef.

Zimmerman: “Our expanded capabilities are already being deployed to help clients innovate new products and experiences.”

Cyril Garcia, the CEO of Capgemini Invent, added: “As part of Capgemini Invent, frog’s scale and technical expertise has been taken to another level and is the partner of choice for driving customer-centric transformation, offering clients a host of new technical design expertise and a strengthened presence in Europe, North America and Asia.”

Globally, Capgemini Invent has more than 10,000 professionals who combined generated revenues of beyond the $1 billion mark.
