Arnaud Sergent succeeds Clare Chatfield as head of L.E.K. Consulting France

L.E.K. Consulting has at the start of this year appointed company veteran Arnaud Sergent as head of its Paris office. Sergent succeeded Clare Chatfield, who held the top role in France for over twenty years.

Arnaud Sergent joined L.E.K. Consulting in 1989 after spending two years in investment banking, serving a French bank in London. At the international consulting firm, which has 1,200 consultants across 19 offices globally, Sergent has held several leadership roles during his nearly thee decade tenure spanning L.E.K.’s offices in Paris, London and Munich.

The new Managing Partner for France has extensive experience in corporate and business strategy development, organisation, performance improvement and mergers & acquisitions.

He focuses on organisations in the Healthcare & Life Sciences industries, having advised a wide range of clients including CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organisation), IVD (in-vitro diagnosis), private hospitals/clinics, elderly/nursing homes, medical laboratories, as well as private equity funds that invest in these sectors. Sergent, who obtained a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, is co-head of L.E.K. Consulting’s European Healthcare practice. 

Sergent succeeded Clare Chatfield, another long serving L.E.K. Consulting advisor, on the 1st of January 2018. Chatfield, also a Senior Partner, joined L.E.K in 1990 in London (where the consultancy is headquartered) and has been in Paris since 1992. She has in-depth expertise across the entire energy value chain, including renewables, environmental, and CO2 markets, and leads L.E.K.’s Energy & Environment division.

L.E.K. Consulting was founded in 1983 by three partners from Bain & Company. Its French operation was launched in 1989 – the office is currently based in the 8th arrondissement, within walking distance of the well-known Avenue des Champs Elysées and Avenue Montaigne. While L.E.K. Consulting France works across numerous industry sectors, the French team is particularly active in the Consumer Products, Energy & Environment, Healthcare, Industrials, Private Equity and Retail sectors.

Last week, L.E.K. Consulting unveiled that is has attracted capital from Lloyds to accelerate its expansion plans.
