Marktlink adds three dealmakers to team in Belgium
M&A consultancy Marktlink has welcomed three new members to its team in Belgium.
With offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom, Marktlink is one of Western Europe’s larger mergers & acquisition specialists focused on the mid-market segment.
In Belgium, the recent hire of Olivier Smets, Laurens Meeusen and Joséphine Bourgeois has doubled the size of the team to six members. “We’re seeing the number of mandates in Belgium grow. With Olivier, Laurens and Joséphine on board we’re ready to meet growing demand,” said Filip Mariën, managing partner of Marktlink’s Belgian arm.
Olivier Smets previously gained working experience at EY, where he started as an auditor and later transitioned to the firm’s advisory business, focused on enterprise risk management services to clients in the financial services sector. Smets has been appointed a Consultant.
After completing his studies in Business Administration and Corporate Finance, Laurens Meeusen joined KPMG as an auditor. With the ambition to operate closer to entrepreneurs and work on deals, he has joined Marktlink in the role of Consultant.
Joséphine Bourgeois has joined the M&A firm fresh from college. She gained a Master in Business Administration and Corporate Finance and a Master in International Relations, both at the KU Leuven. Bourgeois has been appointed a Junior Consultant.
Marktlink’s Belgian team operates out of Antwerp. Deals the firm advised on in the country include Consulta (Mechelen), Ledoux & Mortelmans (Antwerp), G&D Energy (Tongeren), and Technicel (Westerlo).
