Belgian Post Group (Bpost) is partnering with global professional services provider GEP to streamline its procurement operations.

Belgium’s national postal service provides a range of postal, courier, direct marking, banking, insurance, and electronic services in Belgium and internationally. The company is one of the country’s largest employers, with more than 36,000 employees and $4.7 billion in annual revenue.

As part of its ambition to transform its procurement function, Bpost has embarked on a major transformation focused on re-engineering its procurement processes, underpinned by a brand new procurement software system.

The Belgian group worked with GEP to design its new systems blueprint for procurement, and implemented GEP SMART, recently named the world’s best procurement software for the second year in a row. The new solution went live in December last year.

Bpost uses GEP SMART across the source-to-contract (S2C) process encompassing sourcing management, project management, contracts and supplier management to improve efficiencies and compliance across the tendering and contracting process.

Headquartered in New Jersey, GEP provides procurement and supply chain software, consulting, and managed services. The firm has 5,000 global employees and supports large companies across the globe, including clients such as Puma Energy, Absolut, and Husqvarna.
