Alpha FMC appoints David Kornmehl in Europe and Michael Chaille in Asia
Alpha FMC has strengthened its team in Europe and Asia with the appointments of Michael Chaille and David Kornmehl. Chaille has been named Executive Director for Asia, based in Singapore, while Kornmehl has been appointed a Management Consultant in the firm’s Dutch office.
Michael Chaille
Michael Chaille brings with him over seventeen years of consulting experience in the asset and wealth management sector. After working at Arthur Andersen and m.a.partners, he founded his own consulting firm, Newtone Associates, which was sold to Chappuis Halder & Co. in 2013. The past five years Chaille worked as a Partner at the Swiss boutique dedicated to the financial services industry.
The new Executive Director has been tasked with growing Alpha FMC’s presence in Asia-Pacific. Following expansion across Europe and North America, the London-headquartered consultancy has set its sights on Asia, with recently-opened Singapore its first office in the region. “We have plans to expand our presence across the Asian continent over the next few years,” said Global Chief Executive Officer of Alpha FMC, Euan Fraser.
“Michael’s appointment marks an important milestone in the expansion of our business into Asia. Michael brings with him a fantastic reputation, track record, and experience in developing premium consulting propositions. He is the ideal candidate to grow Alpha’s business in Asia – we are very excited about the prospects for expanding our consulting services in the region, in particular Singapore and Hong Kong.”Chaille, who holds a master’s degree in Economics and Information Technologies (HEC Lausanne) and a post-graduate degree in public institutions management (IDEHAP), commented; “I am delighted to be joining such a talented team and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth in Asia.”
He added, “The need for transformation is today a permanent challenge for asset and wealth managers. Institutions not only need sharp industry expertise but also convictions and true engagement from the teams in charge of critical initiatives. I found these traits deeply anchored in Alpha’s DNA, which I found extremely compelling and made the decision to join Alpha a very easy one.”
David Kornmehl
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, Alpha FMC has added David Kornmehl to its team. The office was established in 2014, at the time the firm’s fifth office globally (Alpha FMC now has ten offices), and is led by Jeroen Bolsius, a former executive at ING and consultant at Accenture. The latest addition Kornmehl previously spent two decades at ABN Amro, one of the Netherlands’ three major banks.
The 44 year-old held several roles at the bank, across its Private Banking, International Banking and Corporate Banking divisions. He has gained extensive experience in strategy development and execution, transformation management, partnership (vendor) management and project management. Based in Amsterdam, Kornmehl will work with Alpha FMC’s clients in the Benelux on asset and wealth management transformations.
