Dutch consultancy firm Flux Partners launches office in Denmark
Dutch consultancy firm Flux Partners has expanded into the Nordics, launching its inaugural international office in Copenhagen.
Founded in 2014, Flux Partners is a consulting firm dedicated to procurement, supporting clients with topics including tender management, transformation of the procurement function, project management (commercial and project control), and contract management. The firm works mainly for clients in the infrastructure, construction and energy sectors.
Michel Verlaan, Managing Partner at Flux Partners, said that international expansion has always been an ambition for the firm. Having over the past decade established a leading presence in its home market (100 staff), the firm now is ready to embark on its next chapter.
The decision to move into the Nordics builds on the firm’s strong track record in the renewable energy space, with the Nordics offering major commercial opportunities for expansion and impact.
“Expanding into the Nordics signifies a strategic step in our international growth agenda and commitment to renewable energy. Our new location in Copenhagen puts us in one of the world’s key hubs for renewable energy, especially for offshore wind and other onshore and offshore renewables infrastructure,” said Verlaan.
Flux Partners works for a variety of players in the renewable energy space, such as energy group, utility providers, transmission system operators, governments, and players involved in the delivery stages such as builders, contractors and technology providers. Among the well-known Nordic clients the firm already serves are Ørsted (Denmark) and Vattenfall (Sweden).
Leading the new hub is Ásbjørn Dalgaard, who brings extensive experience in the renewables sector to his new role. He spent the past eight years working as a Senior Adviser on Renewable Energy for the UK government, focused on facilitating investments in the UK’s renewable energy sector and internationally.
In the role he has spearheaded major energy and green energy projects across the UK and Nordic region. “Ásbjørn’s expertise in sustainable energy solutions and deep understanding of the Nordic market makes him an ideal leader for our expansion,” said Verlaan.
Commenting on his new challenge, Dalgaard said: “The Nordics are at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, and I am thrilled to lead a team that is as passionate about sustainability as I am. Our Copenhagen office will not only serve as a hub for cutting-edge solutions but will also be a place where talent from across the Nordics and Baltics, including native speakers from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the Baltics.”
Other Dutch-origin consultancies that over the years setup a branch in Denmark include Valcon (management consulting), Marktlink (M&A consultancy), ADC (data consultancy), Anderson MacGyver (digital strategy), and Zanders (financial consultancy).
