Finnish multinational Valmet hires Capgemini for data & analytics
Finland-based Valmet has expanded its collaboration with Capgemini, now bringing the firm on board to support with enhancing its data & analytics capabilities.
The new agreement builds on an existing contract which is seeing Capgemini help Valmet improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its business processes across key functions. This work focuses on business transformation, the enhancement of technology capabilities, and the modernisation of IT applications.
The new engagement will see Capgemini help Valmet with the professionalisation of its reporting and analytics platforms, applications, and processes.
Capgemini will also help Valmet’s IT supported business operations to become more agile and resilient by modernizing its integration platform for more seamless exchange of information, improving business continuity, and simplifying the application environment.
Headquartered in Espoo, Valmet is a global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries. The company has more than 19,000 professionals around the world – they generated revenues of approximately €5.5 billion in the latest financial year.

Terms and conditions of the multi-year agreement have not been disclosed.
