IT-consultancy delaware launches new office in Switzerland
International business and IT consultancy delaware has launched a new office in Switzerland, which becomes its 9th base in Europe and 18th worldwide.
The expansion into the Swiss market responds to growing demand from multinational clients for local support, as well as an increasing number of Swiss-origin clients.
Meanwhile, delaware has also identified significant growth opportunities in Switzerland, in key areas of its focus, such as digital transformation, business process improvement, ERP implementation, and generative AI.
“Many large and medium sized organizations in Switzerland are accelerating their digital transformation. Our aim is to support with the delivery of their digital journeys, across the full lifecycle from strategy to delivery,” said Ian Greenhalgh, Managing Director of delaware International.
“By establishing a local presence in Switzerland, we can listen more carefully, understand the context better, and act with greater impact. We strive for long-term partnerships that bring value to our clients and foster close collaboration.”
Headquartered in Belgium, delaware has around 4,800 people working from offices around the world. Its new Swiss team operates out of Fribourg, a city located between Bern and Lausanne.
Swiss focus
At launch, delaware will initially focus on a number of offerings, including SAP, data and reporting, and IT-driven sustainability, serving clients in sectors including life sciences, pharma, automotive and manufacturing, cosmetics, and education.
Leading the Fribourg office is Thomas Verdier, who has been appointed as Market Lead for Switzerland. With over 16 years of experience in sales and marketing across various industries, he has a proven track record of opening new markets and delivering outcomes in client projects.
