Accenture appoints Nicole van Det as CEO of new Netherlands & Nordics region
Accenture has appointed Nicole van Det as CEO of the new Netherlands & Nordics market unit, effective at the beginning of this month.
Her appointment coincides with a re-design of the company’s top governance structure for the Northern Europe region. Accenture has decided to bring the leadership of the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and the Baltic states under one executive. With this move, the consulting firm aims to establish a unified direction across these countries and strengthen cross-market collaboration.
Van Det is one of the most senior leaders in the region – she has been with Accenture for more than 26 years and is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee, the company’s highest global governing body. She also knows the region well, having led Accenture’s Dutch organisation for several years.
In her new role, Van Det will focus on developing a regional strategy that aligns with Accenture’s corporate strategy and on unlocking new opportunities across the six markets. In addition to this regional remit, she will continue to serve as Global Client Account Lead for one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies.
“By operating as one region, we gain the scale and cohesion needed to translate our ambition into tangible results. It becomes easier to share expertise, deploy talent across borders and execute major programmes with greater precision,” Van Det said of her new position.
Before taking on her regional role, Van Det chaired Accenture’s Global Strategic Clients Portfolio – representing more than 300 clients that generate the majority of Accenture’s global revenues – where she deepened partnerships and advanced cross-market collaboration.
