Valcon appoints Edwin Kerkmeester as Partner and Retail Lead in Dutch market
European consulting firm Valcon has appointed Edwin Kerkmeester as Partner and Retail Lead in the Netherlands. He joins the firm at the start of next month.
In his new role, Edwin Kerkmeester will lead Valcon’s commercial drive in the retail sector, responsible for go-to-market strategy, sales, business development and client relationships. He has over 25 years of experience in professional services and has during this time held several senior roles.
Most recently at EY, Kerkmeester was a Client Service Partner focused on (global) clients in the firm’s Consumer Products & Retail industry vertical. Earlier at CGI, he served as a Sales Director, and before that he worked in commercial roles at IBM.
Commenting on his move to Valcon and new role, Kerkmeester said: “I am thrilled to be joining this relatively young and ambitious company. In the Netherlands, Valcon is well-known for its work in sectors such as energy, utilities, government, public transport, aviation, and financial services. Retail is among its core industries – Kerkmeester has been handed the remit to further expand its presence in this sector.
