Engagement Factory, a marketing consultancy with two offices in Europe, has agreed a collaboration with Adobe-owned Marketo. The move is part of Engagement Factory’s strategy to expand its ecosystem of tech-driven customer journey tools and solutions.

"We’re thrilled to team up with a true marketing company like Marketo. Adding them to our partner network is of great value in reaching our goal to help clients of all sizes, industries and geographies to build valuable and lasting relationships with their customers,” explained Jos Caelers, who founded Engagement Factory 2012 and leads the firm as chief executive officer.

By adding Marketo to its palette of partners, Caelers said the firm is better capable of helping its clients delivering marketing programmes to drive business growth. Now owned by Adobe, Marketo works to support clients with customer engagement and business development. The firm’s technology centres on automating lead management and account-based marketing, while providing support for multi-channel marketing tactics. The company’s algorithms further allow users to create an in-depth and unified view of the customer at both an individual and account level.Marketing consultancy Engagement Factory partners with MarketoAdobe punched above its weight to snatch Marketo in September last year for $4.8 billion, fending off rival interest from German ERP-giant SAP and Salesforce, which reportedly had been sniffing around Marketo for a while and was beaten on speed of deal execution. Commenting via the firm's blog, Marketo’s chief executive officer Steve Lucas said, “Together we will deliver an unrivalled solution that will place customer experience and engagement at the heart of digital transformation.... the result will be an unprecedented level of marketing engagement, automation, and attribution power, all with a goal of delivering end-to-end, exceptional experiences for our customers, where and when they want them.”

From its bases in the Netherlands (Eindhoven and Amsterdam), with further offices in Sweden (Stockholm) and South Africa (Cape Town), Engagement Factory aims at tapping into Marketo’s strengths to lift its digital marketing offerings. “Our customers will benefit from more leads, new customers, increased loyalty, higher conversion, and most importantly, a hike in sales,” foresees Caelers. Among the brands that shine on Engagement Factory’s roster of clients are big names such as Philips, DLL, Ricoh and WE Fashion.

Caelers added that the firm will seek to find synergies between Marketo products and solutions with those of other vendors the marketing consultancy works with, including Oracle, Showpad, Movable Ink, Bannerflow, KatalystM, Domo and TKC digital. “Combining these marketing heavyweights solutions with our technical know-how, our team of 60 consultants is able to offer a complete service package for customer engagement.”

According to a recent analysis, professional services firms that invest in (digital) marketing book above-average revenue growth.
