In Denmark, Carina Sponholtz and Johan Fritz have both been admitted in the Copenhagen partnership. Sponholtz is an expert in the firm’s Consumer Products, Consumer Health and Customer Strategy & Marketing practices.
She has been with Bain & Company for nearly fourteen years, joining the consultancy after completing her PhD at Aarhus University, the same university where she graduated. Sponholtz advises clients with growth strategy, revenue management, digital marketing, e-commerce and operating model optimisation. She has delivered projects in Western and Eastern Europe, the US and the Middle East.
Johan Fritz has been with Bain & Company since 2011, having previously served Qvartz (which was acquired by Bain two months ago) and Accenture for four years. He is partner in Bain’s Private Equity practice, and advises investors, as well as their portfolio companies, on strategy, due diligence, value creation planning & realisation and exit preparation.
In Sweden, which is Bain’s largest market in the Nordics, Wren Kabir has joined the partnership as its seventh partner. He joined the strategy and management consulting firm in 2006 from the Technology Group of UBS, starting in San Francisco before transferring to New York, Houston, and now the Nordics.
Wren, who holds a MBA from the Wharton School of Business, has gained exposure to a number of industries, including energy and natural resources, private equity, industrials, and retail. His work has spanned several practice areas, including environmental, social and governance (ESG), large scale transformations, performance improvement, organisational redesign, and commercial due diligence.
Meanwhile, Grete Röd and Lauri Tumm have been promoted to partner in Oslo, Norway, and Helsinki, Finland. The latter consultant is a partner in the firm's Advanced Manufacturing & Services, Forest Products, Paper & Packaging and Performance Improvement practices.
Prior to joining Bain & Company, Tumm held various roles within the Estonian Navy and Ministry of Defence for 13 years, including serving as Undersecretary for Defence Planning. In 2011, Tumm received the first class of the Cross of Merit of Estonia’s Ministry of Defence for outstanding performance of official duties.
During his consulting career, Tumm worked with many Nordic and international clients, focusing mainly on performance improvement, strategy, supply chain and service topics. His industrial focus falls primarily in the machinery, paper and packaging and natural resources sectors
Based in Oslo, Rød is an expert in the firm’s Private Equity service line. She leads due diligence initiatives for private equity clients, in addition to blueprint and value creation planning, exit planning and add-on diligence efforts. She also has extensive experience in strategy, sales excellence and channel optimisation.
Prior to joining the global consulting firm in 2009, Rød worked as a senior research associate for The Brattle Group, a US-headquartered economics consulting firm. She holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a degree from Colby College in the US.
According to the latest estimates, the consulting industry of the Nordics is worth around €3 billion.
