BCG Turn adds senior advisors to its team in Spain
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is stepping up its turnaround capabilities in Spain with the hire of two experienced consultants from restructuring specialists Alvarez & Marsal and FTI Consulting.
Ignacio Serra has joined Boston Consulting Group’s Madrid office as an Associate Director, bringing nearly two decades of experience in consulting to the role. He previously worked four years for FTI Consulting as a partner in its Corporate Finance practice. Before that, he worked five years for Strategy&, the strategy consulting wing of Big Four firm PwC.
Serra has led dozens of complex transformation projects across strategy, operations, performance improvement, transformation and turnaround, serving clients across Europe, North and Latin America. He also has a track record in mergers & acquisitions and post-merger integration, having participated in more than 20 transactions, with a focus on commercial and operational due diligence.
Also appointed an Associate Director in BCG Turn’s Madrid office is José Miguel Gómez Rivas. He has some 20 years of experience in financial and liquidity management, marketing, sales & business development and commercial operations under his belt.
Before joining BCG Turn, he was a (Senior) Director at Alvarez & Marsal for three years, having previously worked in the consulting industry at Accenture. In industry, Rivas held among others financial roles at energy and chemicals company Maxam, commercial roles at Uralita and marketing roles at building company LafargeHolcim.
BCG Turn is BCG’s division dedicated to restructuring, turnaround and transformation. The practice, led by Miami-based senior partner Sandeep Chugani, comprises experienced consultants with a demonstrated track record of leadership and functional expertise.
The double appointment comes shortly after parent Boston Consulting Group hired Leo Andronis as a partner in its Madrid office. He previously worked for Alvarez & Marsal and Kearney.
