Philipp Mall joins leadership team of BCG’s Inverto
Boston Consulting Group has appointed Philipp Mall as Managing Director in its Inverto subsidiary, lifting the firm’s leadership team to fourteen members.
Inverto is procurement and supply chain management consulting firm, part of Boston Consulting Group since the two joined forces in September 2016. The specialised consultancy was founded in 2000 in Germany, where it now has expanded its senior team with the 36-year-old Philipp Mall.
Mall joined Inverto in 2010 as a consultant in Cologne – one of the company’s seven locations – and prior to ascending to Managing Director (the equivalent of partner), he was Principal and Head of the Competence Center for Procurement Management.
“We are delighted that Philipp is joining our leadership team. He brings extensive experience in the industrial sector and expertise in digitisation, which will significantly drive growth for Inverto,” said Markus Bergauer, co-founder and Managing Director of the firm.
Mall becomes the seventh Managing Director in Germany, while the firm has five abroad; two in the UK (Lance Younger and Thibault Lecat), two in the Nordics (André Thuvesson and Marcus Schwarz), and one in Austria (Rudolf Trettenbrein).
A qualified industrial engineer, Mall is an expert in machine construction, procurement transformation, cost cutting and digitisation, with a focus on clients in the process industry. He also specialises in strategic product group management and make-or-buy strategies, and advises businesses on risk management.
Inverto works for multinationals, larger medium-sized companies from industry and trade and private equity companies. Recently, the firm released a guide on how its clients can navigate covid-19’s pressure on their supply chain, finance and procurement practices.
