Axelle Paquer and Eric Conway regional leaders at BearingPoint
European-origin consulting firms BearingPoint has appointed two new regional leaders, effective per January 1st, 2021.
The France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Africa region, which was previously led by Eric Falque, will per the start of next year be helmed by Axelle Paquer, a twenty-year veteran at the privately-held consulting firm. Paquer currently serves as the Head of BearingPoint’s Public Services practice for the France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Africa region.
French national Paquer specialises in management and organisational consulting, operational efficiency, customer/user relationship processes, digital transformation and change management, with a focus on the public policy, healthcare, social welfare and employment segments within the public domain.
Taking the reins of BearingPoint’s GROW region (Finland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom) is Eric Conway. He will succeed James Rodger, who took on the role last year after BearingPoint launched the GROW division as part of a wider organisational reshuffle in light of the firm’s new growth strategy.
Conway has been with the firm since 1998 and has been leading the Irish practice since 2017. Based in Dublin, he specialises in commercial services industry sectors, including media and high tech.
According to BearingPoint’s Managing Partner Kiumars Hamidian, the appointments were designed well in advance as part of a succession plan, meaning that Paquer and Conway are well positioned to continue the development of the two practices.
“I wish them great success in helping us continue on our growth path and keeping us innovative, focused, and people-powered as we pursue our Strategy 2025.”
The third regional leader of BearingPoint is Iris Grewe, who oversees the firm’s offices in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The trio of regional leaders all sit on BearingPoint’s 11-strong Global Management Team, headed by Hamidian.
