European procurement consultancy Sourcing Champions has refreshed its brand, underlining its new positioning and expanded suite of offerings.

From its bases in Amsterdam and Munich, Sourcing Champions helps clients across sectors with developing their procurement strategy and streamlining their operations. The firm’s mission is to help clients turn procurement – regarded by many as a cost function – into a real competitive advantage.

The new brand and look-and-feel (which includes a completely new website and logo) brings its positioning and expertise together. Billed as a “next-level procurement consultancy”, Sourcing Champions combines “traditional procurement strategy consulting with digital technology to deliver maximum value.”

Procurement consultancy Sourcing Champions refreshes its brand

“I founded Sourcing Champions in 2014, after 25 years of experience in supply chain and procurement, with the aim to bring a unique approach in sourcing and procurement operations”, said founder and chief executive Robert Waalder.

The consulting firm helps clients from strategy through to execution. “We work with clients to collaboratively identify opportunities to improve procurement processes,” said Waalder. “We aim to find groundbreaking opportunities that drive responsible change and impact both the bottom and top line.”

Then follows a period of delivering improvement potential, and making new, enhanced ways of working stick. “Our team consists of enthusiastic and highly professional consultants with deep-rooted procurement experience, I believe what makes us standout is our practice to personally invest in the successful project outcome of our clients.”

The firm’s transformation approach is underpinned by cutting-edge technology. “We work with several leading vendors in the procurement domain,” said Waalder. These includes the likes of Cirtuo and SimpliContract, and more recently Sourcing Champions also become a trusted consulting partner of Ecochain.

“With the fast-changing environment around us, it is important to stay on top of the latest technology. Meanwhile, successfully technology can provide procurement officer with major benefits, in terms of strategic insights, costs and the execution of transactional processes.”

A fresh new look

Waalder: “While our whole team worked hard to bring our new look out there, the foundation of what we believe gives long-lasting results has stayed the same, namely working closely together with our clients and their teams to bring company-customised projects and programs”.

The launch comes in sync with the expansion of the firm’s so-called Boost Programs. “Our programs now cover all topics in procurement including: Procurement Transformation, Sustainable Procurement, Cost Reduction, Digital Procurement, Innovation Sourcing, and Procurement Risk Management,” explained Waalder.
