Sourcing Champions and REVIVER partner to advance sustainable procurement
Sourcing Champions has inked a partnership with REVIVER. Together, the two firms aim to help procurement professionals advance their sustainability knowhow and practices.
Amsterdam-based Sourcing Champions is a procurement consultancy firm offering services in strategy, tech-enabled transformation, sustainable procurement, and capability building. REVIVER meanwhile is a boutique that specializes in sustainable procurement, with a focus on the food and agricultural sector.
The collaboration brings together their expertise to help Procurement functions build the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to drive positive impact across their supply chains.
“Procurement has a unique opportunity to drive positive impact beyond cost and efficiency,” said Robert Waalder, Managing Director of Sourcing Champions. “Through our partnership with REVIVER, we aim to equip procurement professionals with the knowhow and tools needed to turn sustainability ambitions into measurable business outcomes.”
From sustainability ambition to realization
REVIVER was founded in 2022 by Laura Taal-Groeneveld, who has almost two decades of experience in (sustainable) procurement, gained at organisations including PwC and Heineken.
Throughout her career, she observed a gap between sustainability ambitions, including net zero targets, and their practical implementation, which ultimately inspired her to establish REVIVER. “I have always enjoyed figuring out how to make sustainability actionable. It starts with meeting people where they are, and making it irresistible to take their next step towards positive impact.”
Earlier this year, REVIVER launched its First Time Right Supplier Engagement training, which guides procurement professionals across various industries in building practical supplier engagement approaches from the ground up. Through hands-on exercises using real-world data, participants develop practical action plans that can be immediately applied within their organizations.
This approach will be central to the collaboration between Sourcing Champions and REVIVER.
Learning hub for sustainable procurement
The partnership will establish a learning hub for procurement professionals looking to accelerate their sustainability transformation. Sourcing Champions and REVIVER will jointly develop training programs tailored specifically to procurement teams, covering topics such as Scope 3 emissions reduction, net zero strategies, and effective supplier engagement.
Waalder: “We are creating a learning environment that combines practical expertise with real-world application. Our programs will enable procurement teams to learn, collaborate, and develop future-proof strategies for a more sustainable future.”
“This partnership is one that creates synergy – where the combined impact of our two organizations, is greater than the sum of our individual impacts... I can’t wait to get started!” concludes Taal-Groeneveld.
