Jānis Ābele joins Civitta as an associate partner in Latvia

Civitta, a leading consulting firm in Central and Eastern Europe – has welcomed Jānis Ābele to its team in Lativa.

Appointed an Associate Partner, Jānis Ābele brings over a decade of public sector experience in economic development, finance and investment funds to the Estonia-headquartered firm.

Commenting on the senior hire, Baiba Ebuliņa, Civitta’s country manager in Latvia said: “I am confident that Janis will provide new opportunities to expand our capacity, competencies and knowledge in the public sector space. I warmly welcome him to our team.”

Prior to joining Civitta, Ābele was Head of the State Inspectorate for Protection of Children's Rights, and before that, he served as Head of Administration at the Ministry of Economics. Previous managerial positions he held in public administration include serving as Deputy Director of the Central Finance and Contracting Agency, and Head of the Financial Management Unit of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.

Now at Civitta, Ābele will be responsible for the development of public sector projects, including cooperation with state and local government institutions and international organisations.
