Heavyweight appointment for Eight Advisory: Augustin de Romanet joins as Advisor

Eight Advisory has made a heavyweight appointment in France, naming the CEO of Groupe ADP Augustin de Romanet as an Advisor to its Board of Management.
Augustin de Romanet is currently the Chairman and CEO of Groupe ADP, a public listed company that operates 26 international airports and owns Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly Airport in Paris. De Romanet has been in the role since 2012, when he was appointed by decree. Groupe ADP today generates annual revenues of just over €6 billion.
He previously held senior leadership roles at Crédit Agricole Group (Deputy Head of Finance and Strategy) and was Chairman of the Board of Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations for five years.
Earlier in his career, De Romanet gained prominence in the French political scene. He began his career working alongside several French ministers, including François d’Aubert, Alain Madelin, Alain Lamassoure and Jean Arthuis. He was then Chief of Staff to Alain Lambert, Deputy Chief of Staff to Francis Mer, Chief of Staff to Jean-Louis Borloo, Deputy Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and Deputy Secretary General of the Presidency under Jacques Chirac.
In his new role at Eight Advisory, a French-origin financial, operational, and strategic advisory firm with 950 staff in offices around Europe, De Romanet will leverage his experience and expertise to advise the company’s partnership on its next moves. Eight Advisory is backed by private equity and has ambitions to grow further in the coming years.
“I am delighted to join Eight Advisory, an independent advisory firm of French origin that has established a strong reputation across Europe and is now pursuing global ambitions. Contributing to the growth of such a dynamic organisation is an exciting and meaningful new challenge,” De Romanet said.
“We are thrilled and honoured to welcome Augustin to Eight Advisory,” said Eric Demuyt, Managing Partner at Eight Advisory. “His cross-sector experience, leadership expertise, and the culture of excellence he has fostered throughout his career will be invaluable to the continued development of Eight Advisory.”
De Romanet is also a board member of the SAS du Cercle des Économistes, Chairman of Paris Europlace and Chairman of Cercle Turgot. He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the École Nationale d’Administration.
