MotherDuck names Artefact an official Launch Partner for Europe
US-headquartered cloud data company MotherDuck has named data consulting firm Artefact its official Launch Partner for Europe.
Founded in 2022, MotherDuck is a leading cloud analytics platform built on DuckDB, an open-source database management system created by researchers in Amsterdam. As a serverless cloud data warehouse, MotherDuck enables organizations to analyze data efficiently without managing costly distributed infrastructure.
Up until recently, MotherDucks data could only be stored in US-based servers, but with the recent launch of its EU region, European enterprises can use the service and store and process their data within the European Union, meeting legal requirements for data sovereignty and ensuring sensitive information remains under local jurisdiction.
As an official Launch Partner, Artefact will bring MotherDuck’s platform to European enterprises, combining its consulting expertise with implementation knowhow to help organizations unlock the platform’s full potential. Artefact will support enterprises with topics including data strategy, architecture, cloud migration, as well as the change management needed to ensure successful adoption.
Nouras Haddad, Vice President of Partnerships and Channels at MotherDuck, said: “We’re thrilled to have Artefact as an official Launch Partner as we announce MotherDuck’s EU region. Artefact’s ability to turn new technologies into enterprise-ready solutions will help European companies scale fast, efficient analytics with MotherDuck.”
Headquartered in France, Artefact is a leading consulting company dedicated to accelerating the adoption of data and artificial intelligence. The firm, which has around 1,700 people worldwide, supports its clients from strategy to execution.
“As a consulting firm always on the lookout for useful innovations in the industry, we are very pleased to support the growth of MotherDuck in Europe. MotherDuck represents the future of data engineering with impressive capabilities and an unmatched performance-to-cost ratio – it has everything it takes to become one of tomorrow’s leading players in data warehousing,” said Maël Deschamps, Director at Artefact.
