Sebastien Planche promoted to Managing Director at dss+
Global consulting firm dss+ has promoted Sebastien Planche to Managing Director.
The new Managing Director has more than 25 years of experience in managing large scale improvement programs across multiple industries, with a focus on operations, employee safety and quality delivery.
He has been part of dss+ since 2016, most recently serving as the EMEA leader of the firm’s growth platform in Operational Risk Management, Sustainability and Business Transformation. He previously also led the Operational Risk Management and Business Transformation offerings at Dupont Sustainable Solutions, the predecessor of dss+ when the company was still part of Dupont.
Since its transition to an independent business and subsequent rebranding, dss+ has nearly doubled in size to its current headcount of around 1,500 staff. The company, headquartered in Switzerland, is backed by private equity.
Planche has according to a statement from the consulting firm played a “pivotal role” in its growth. “Under Sebastien’s guidance, dss+ has expanded its safety and risk management offerings, including the safety strategic roadmap, serious injury & fatality, safety transformation, autonomous safety, and managed safety. He has contributed strongly to positioning dss+ as a leader in operational risk management.”
During this time, he led and delivered complex, large-scale engagements in sectors such as oil & gas, transportation, and infrastructure. “Sebastien provides C-Level strategic advice and solutions to accelerate organization culture changes and results, builds high-performance teams, and delivers impactful and sustainable transformations.”
Prior to serving dss+, Planche worked for Schlumberger in its consulting business and was a Vice President at Hitachi Consulting (formerly Celerant Consulting). He started his career at Shell, where he worked on engineering projects.
Earlier this year, dss+ made three other high-profile leadership appointments.
