International consulting firm Emixa has expanded into the Nordics with the acquisition of Nextage Group, a Stockholm-based firm focused on the manufacturing sector.

Established in 2021 through the combination of several consultancies in the Benelux, DACH and UK markets, Emixa is a digital transformation consultancy with a strong focus on the manufacturing industry and Industry 4.0. The firm employs around 530 professionals and is a leading partner of technology vendors including Siemens, SAP, and Mendix.

The acquisition of Nextage Group adds a team of around 20 staff to Emixa, increasing its headcount to 550, and provides the award-winning firm with a foothold in the Nordic landscape, which becomes its fifth market after the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, and Germany.

Peter-Jan Simons, the CEO of Emixa, said that the move marks a significant milestone in Emixa’s European expansion and ambition to establish a strong hub in the Nordics. By combining Nextage Group’s presence and track record with its own deep capabilities in the manufacturing sector, Emixa aims to support manufacturers across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway with the digital strategy and transformation initiatives.

Using software from Siemens Digital Industries, the consulting firm helps its clients digitise and optimise the entire product lifecycle, from early design and simulation to data management and manufacturing execution.
