Morten Bøgh Skaarup joins Inverto in Copenhagen office
Boston Consulting Group subsidiary Inverto has expanded its senior team in Denmark with Morten Bøgh Skaarup.
Launched in 2018 to meet demand for its procurement and supply chain management services across Scandinavia, Inverto’s Copenhagen office currently has a team of around 20 consultants and staff.
The office is led by Marcus Schwarz, a Managing Director and company veteran (with the consultancy since 2002) who has been responsible for the Danish locale since its inception. He is now joined at the helm by Bøgh Skaarup, who brings close to two decades of procurement and sourcing experience to the firm.
“With his expertise and strong entrepreneurial mentality, Morten is an excellent fit for our culture,” said Schwarz. Prior to joining Inverto, Bøgh Skaarup was an Associate partner at Prokura, a specialised procurement and supply chain consultancy based in Copenhagen, where he advised energy corporations and industrial companies on process optimisation in procurement and digital transformation.
Before that, he held leadership roles in procurement at healthcare company Novo Nordisk (which specialises in diabetes) and Nordic construction group NCC (which has around 14,500 employees).
At Inverto, Bøgh Skaarup will help the firm’s clients – corporations, medium-sized companies and private equity firms – with developing procurement strategies, increasing the efficiency of internal operations, and digitising the procurement function, among others. He will also co-execute Inverto’s growth ambition in Denmark and be responsible for several internal responsibilities across account management, operations and talent management.
In Scandinavia, Inverto also has an office in Stockholm, Sweden, which launched early 2019. Internationally, the consultancy has eight offices in Europe and one in Asia.
Inverto is part of Boston Consulting Group, a global strategy and management consulting firm.
