Erik Palmstierna and Max Ronander partner at Valcon
European consulting firm Valcon has promoted two partners in its Nordic team: Erik Palmstierna and Max Ronander.
Erik Palmstierna, who is based in Sweden, has been with the firm for six years. He brings more than two decades of experience with strategy development, management turnarounds and change management to the partnership.
His track record includes leading numerous large-scale transformation projects in the public as well as the private sector. Prior to Valcon, he served Swedish enforcement authority Kronofogden and held several roles at consulting firms.
Also based in Sweden is Max Ronander, who specialises in topics including strategy execution, digitisation, process optimisation, change, organisational development, and data insights and analytics. Ronander has been with Valcon since 2017, having previously served local Stockholm-based consultancy Vergenta and automotive group Saab.
Ronander works for clients in both the private and public sectors, with particular focus on finance, human resources and procurement engagements with clients in the media, manufacturing, transportation and distribution, fashion retail and government segments.
Commenting on their promotions, the duo said: “We are proud to be appointed partners at Valcon. Over the past year, we have grown to 1,300 employees and that is just the beginning. We look forward to continuing the journey.”
Backed by private equity group Waterland, Valcon has been on a stellar growth path since its co-founders First Consulting (Netherlands) and Valcon (Nordics) joined forces. A 500-strong group at the time, the bolt-ons of Viqtor Davis, P2 Consulting, and most recently Typeqast have seen the firm nearly treble in the space of 14 months.
