The five new core values of consulting firm Valcon
Three months after its merger and rebranding, management consultancy firm Valcon has also updated its core values. The new core values are: Integrity, Together, Joy, Curious and Can do.
“Valcon has the ambition to grow into a European operations consultancy firm with deep experience in data and technology,” says Geert van den Goor, group managing partner at Valcon.
The firm’s new core values play an important role in this growth. “They form the DNA of our company.”
“Even though all companies that have been merged into Valcon [First Consulting, Valcon, Viqtor Davis, P2 Consulting and Typeqast] had different core values, they also shared some clear common ground. Obviously, because during the search and selection process for our acquisitions campaign we carefully considered cultural fit as a key deal driver.”
As part of launching the Valcon brand, the consultancy company in parallel focused on drafting core values for the ‘new Valcon’. “A group of colleagues from across Valcon’s members and ranks came up with the initial set of potential core values. Next, all employees could vote for these values.”
This ultimately resulted in the five core values of: Integrity, Together, Joy, Curious and Can do.
According to Van den Goor, the new core values thoroughly emulate what Valcon stands for. “The core values are not only part of Valcon’s marketing strategy but are also used within the firm on a daily basis. Whether it’s about a proposition for a client, reviewing recruitment meetings or our regular performance appraisals: the core values can be seen everywhere.”
Valcon has around 1,200 employees in more than six European countries. The consultancy is backed by Dutch private equity house Waterland.
