IFS and BearingPoint launch joint venture company Arcwide
Swedish software group IFS and BearingPoint have joined forces to launch Arcwide, a new joint venture that will provide consulting and technology services for the IFS Cloud solution.
The strategic partnership builds on a long-standing collaboration between the two firms. By now fully integration their propositions, IFS and BearingPoint expect to make more impact, accelerate innovation and enhance the geographic reach of IFS through BearingPoint’s 40+ offices and global consulting network of alliance partners.
Headquartered in Linköping, IFS provides organisations with cloud-based solutions across enterprise resource planning, service management and asset management.
With revenues of around €780 million, BearingPoint is one of Europe’s largest consultancies. The firm also has offices in the Middle East and Asia.
“We're excited to announce that after five years of a very successful collaboration IFS and BearingPoint are taking their partnership to the next level,” said Philippe Chaniot, who has been installed as the CEO of Arcwide.
Arcwide will initially launch with a focus on nine European countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The new company’s services will include value assessment, scoping and deployment, managed services and services associated with business transformation such as training and change management.
Chaniot: “We have a very clear vision and that is to provide IFS Cloud technology services and business transformation services to business leaders so they can drive growth and success. The combination of our customers’ specific business expertise and IFS’ industry, technology, and service innovation gives us a clear advantage.”
Asked why IFS selected BearingPoint out of all IFS consulting partners for this new venture, the company’s Chief Customer Officer Michael Ouissi said: “BearingPoint have been a strong and successful partner for us, they understand our business and mirror our customers focus; expanding our relationship to build capacity was a natural step.”
For BearingPoint, the move is part of its strategy to expand its alliances with leading software providers, although Arcwide adds a joint ownership model to its traditional alliances. “Launching Arcwide is a big milestone for us. With this joint venture we want to reset expectations of what business value is and cement the vision we have for technology enabled business transformation,” said Kiumars Hamidian, Managing Partner at BearingPoint.
Arcwide’s launch will see a “considerable number” of BearingPoint consultants move from the consultancy to Arcwide (exact details have not been released), with IFS committing to a similar investment.
