BearingPoint acquires disphere tech and its diContract solution

BearingPoint has acquired disphere tech, a provider of technology solutions to commercial functions within the financial services industry.

Based in Germany, disphere tech helps financial services institutions with digitising and optimising a range of sales-focused processes, such as customer onboarding, approval of brokerage contracts, video and audio consultations, portfolio transfers, client data management, as well as GDPR-compliance.

The tech platform of disphere tech, diContract, facilitates the automation and digitisation of these processes, while the firm’s consultants guide the implementation. Since its inception in thirteen years ago, disphere tech has served more than 70 clients and grown its team to around 20 professionals.

Within the financial services domain, disphere tech is particularly active in the insurance sector. Sven Gerhardus, Partner in BearingPoint’s Insurance practice, explained the main use case for the acquired companies’ offering. “Communication between insurer, customer, insurance agent, broker and broker pool is a major challenge, especially for traditional insurers. Optimising and digitalising these processes with disphere tech’s GDPR-compliant solution is a quick-win.”

For BearingPoint, the insurance industry is one of its key industry verticals, with the firm providing an end-to-end proposition from strategy and design through to operating model optimisation – all backed by solutions that power digital transformation. “That’s why disphere tech fits excellently in our consulting and products portfolio.”

Other solutions part of BearingPoint’s Products portfolio – which feature in BearingPoint Store, the firm’s marketplace for all solutions – include Emissions Calculator, Steerio, Data Quality Navigator, and Digital Project Twin, among others.

disphere tech will operate as a fully integrated part of BearingPoint. Company founder Patrick Hüttemann and the full team will transfer to the global consulting firm.

In the coming period, BearingPoint will make disphere tech’s offerings available for its clients in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Roll-out beyond the DACH region is expected in the future.
