Metyis and Hugo Boss open joint venture digital campus in Portugal
Metyis and Hugo Boss have formally inaugurated their joint venture digital campus in Portugal.
Forged in 2021, the joint venture will see Metyis and Hugo Boss build a team of around 250 experts by the end of 2023 across two locations: in Metzingen (Germany) and Porto (Portugal).
The new campus in Porto will serve as an innovative and creative data hub with three main pillars: eCommerce, advanced business analytics, and technology and data.
Key responsibilities of the team in Portugal will be to create a state-of-the-art data architecture infrastructure, develop advanced business analytics, and continuously enhance Hugo Boss’ e-commerce platform and services.
“Gathering data is easy. However, analyzing and deriving actionable insights from it is what will help us become the leading premium, tech-driven fashion platform worldwide. That is why we are excited to announce the inauguration of our Hugo Boss Digital Campus in Porto,” said Daniel Grieder, the CEO of Hugo Boss.
“This is a groundbreaking joint venture with Metyis that is empowering us to harness the power of data to revolutionize our global online sales and accelerate our digitalization efforts,” he added.
Hugo Boss is the first corporate to partner with the Metyis campus, which aims to grow into a 1,000-person campus and centre of excellence serving Metyis clients internationally and corporate partners.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, Metyis is a provider of solutions in big data, digital commerce, marketing, design, and management consulting services. The firm has over 1.000 employees working from offices in 15 locations.
“Our joint venture will provide the capabilities required for Hugo Boss to maximise the use of data and support its growth trajectory towards becoming the leading premium tech-driven fashion platform worldwide,” said Yogen Singh, CEO of Metyis.
Welcoming the joint venture to the region, Marco Martins, Mayor of Gondomar, said: “We are excited to welcome the Metyis campus and Hugo Boss as the first high-profile corporation partner.”
