BrazilIndustrial group RHI Magnesita taps dss+ for global health & safety program
RHI Magnesita, an Austrian global leader in the refractory industry, has selected dss+ as its partner for a global program aimed at improving health & safety standards and embedding a safety mindset across all levels of the company.
Founded in 1908, RHI Magnesita is a manufacturer and supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems and services. These refractory materials are essential for high-temperature industrial processes, such as those used in steel, cement, and glass production. While the company is headquartered in Vienna, it is listed on the London Stock Exchange, and also has a separate listing for its Indian business in India.
Wit the aim to uphold the highest standards in industry in the area of employee health & safety, RHI Magnesita has launched a global program that spans its production sites in Europe, North and South America, and Southern and Eastern Asia. Rajah Jayendran, Chief Technology Officer at RHI Magnesita, said the program builds on the company’s “deep commitment to safety” in the interests of its people, the communities it serves, and society.
Working with dss+, RHI Magnesita will set out to deliver that goal to its over 15,000 employees worldwide. Alongside the technical changes that will be rolled out, in areas such as processes, ways of working, governance, and safety controls, RHI Magnesita and dss+ will focus a lot on the people management side of the change.
