Magnus Energy and gridDigIt enter into strategic partnership
Netherlands-based Magnus Energy and Hungary-based gridDigIt have entered a strategic partnership to deliver joint services to transmission system operators (TSOs) throughout Europe.
By bringing together the Magnus Energy’s market expertise and delivery capacity with gridDigIt’s technical expertise, the partnership aims to establish the two companies as a leading provider of services in the area of common information exchanges.
The Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a technical framework for exchanging information between Transmission System Operators (TSOs). It enables software applications to exchange detailed information about power grids, including equipment, topology, and operating conditions, with the goal to ensure consistency and interoperability across European TSOs and Regional Coordination Centres (RCCs).
Operating under the Magnus Energy brand, the collaboration will offer TSOs with the knowhow and capacity to further operationalise the CGMES.

Together, Magnus Energy and gridDigIt will establish a CGMES and Operational Planning Centre, a knowledge hub which will offer practical expertise, proven methodologies, and hands-on guidance.
