Czech-based GuideVision joins consulting arm of Infosys
Czech advisory firm GuideVision has been acquired by global IT services firm Infosys for a reported €30 million. GuideVision will join Infy Consulting – an advisory subsidiary of Infosys.
GuideVision’s specialty is the distribution and implementation of ServiceNow – a cloud-based workflow management system that has emerged as the benchmark for enterprise management across the world. ServiceNow is distributed through partner networks, and GuideVision is among the most prominent ServiceNow Elite Partners in Europe – playing in the leagues of Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG and IBM, among others.
Infosys has also developed a firm presence in the ServiceNow market over the years, and was named the ServiceNow Global Service Provider Partner of the Year for both 2019 and 2020. The GuideVision acquisition will further boost its footprint in the space, while also giving Infosys a presence on the ground in Europe.
GuideVision is based out of Prague, with additional offices in London, Budapest, Warsaw and Helsinki, giving Infosys a firm foothold on the continent. According to Infosys President Ravi Kumar, Infosys now has a stronger base to drive digital transformation in the European market, particularly in the ever growing ServiceNow landscape. For him, GuideVision is the ideal partner to help facilitate this growth.
“The combination of scalable and agile nearshore capabilities of GuideVision in Europe, and their unmatched delivery excellence, complements our own effort to help global enterprises navigate their next. We are excited to welcome GuideVision and its leadership team into the Infosys family.”
Infosys has already been targeting inorganic market entry in Europe over recent years, having made a foray into Finland through the acquisition of Fluido Oy in 2018. That being said, the latest acquisition has more than just geographical value, given the technical expertise that GuideVision brings to the table.
Infosys recently launched a global portfolio of more than 14,000 cloud assets and solutions across 200 industries, branded as Infosys Cobalt. GuideVision’s diverse suite of end-to-end cloud services as well as training and implementation capabilities will now integrate with this portfolio. Notable among these is SnowMirror – a smart data replication system that has helped more than 100 GuideVision clients to simplify operations.
“GuideVision's addition is another significant step towards strengthening our Infosys Cobalt offerings portfolio, bringing the combination of services, solutions and platforms, that acts as a force multiplier for cloud-powered enterprise transformation,” said Narsimha Rao Mannepalli, Head of Cloud & Infrastructure at Infosys.
For GuideVision, the acquisition opens doors to a whole new portfolio of services and a range of new markets across the world. “The global Infosys footprint is an exciting opportunity for both GuideVision customers and employees,” said Norbert Nagy, co-founder of GuideVision.
“We are happy to become a part of the Infosys family and we strongly believe that the shared underlying values are a great foundation for our common goals in the future. Our combined expertise will further drive our customers’ digital transformation in the European market,” concluded fellow GuideVision co-founder Pavel Muller.
Earlier this year, KPMG Canada acquired the ServiceNow practice of technology company Wirefire.
